Spanish Client Visits Factory to Inspect PV Panel Recycling Equipment

With the advancement of emerging technologies and the rapid evolution of products, the first generation of photovoltaic (PV) panels has begun entering its end-of-life phase. By 2050, approximately 9.57 million tons of discarded solar panels are projected to be generated; consequently, the recycling of waste PV panels is attracting increasing attention. SUNYGROUP’s solar panel recycling equipment employs physical processes—including automated dismantling, crushing, and sorting—to recover materials from discarded PV panels, thereby achieving highly efficient resource recovery.

SUNYGROUP’s newly launched eco-friendly PV panel dismantling equipment features an intelligent control system and a modular design. The equipment's intake is fitted with a visual recognition system capable of automatically identifying the type, dimensions, and frame structure of each PV panel, subsequently applying the appropriate dismantling parameters. All operational stages—including feeding, frame removal, junction box extraction, glass separation, crushing, and sorting—are fully automated and operate continuously. A single production line can process 30 to 50 standard PV panels per hour (equivalent to approximately 1.5 to 2.5 tons), representing a processing capacity 3 to 5 times greater than that of traditional manual dismantling methods.

A client from Spain recently ordered a complete set of fully automated PV panel recycling equipment from SUNYGROUP. With the manufacturing process now complete, we extended a special invitation to the client to visit our facility and conduct a pre-shipment inspection of the equipment. Upon the client's arrival, we demonstrated the equipment's operational performance through a live test run using actual materials.
