The most valuable components of scrap photovoltaic panels are aluminum, silver, copper and polysilicon. Silver accounts for about 0.05% of the total weight, but accounts for 14% of the material value. .The bulk material is glass, which has a high recycling rate but a low resale value. Waste photovoltaic panel materials are mainly composed of the following components:
1. Glass: This is the main base material of photovoltaic panels. The main component is silica and contains a small amount of soda ash, limestone, magnesium oxide, alumina, Glauber's salt, etc.
2.EVA film: This is a thermoplastic elastomer used to bond glass and backplanes. The main component is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
3. Cell: This is the core part of the photovoltaic panel. The main component is monocrystalline silicon or polycrystalline silicon. Its performance directly affects the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the photovoltaic panel.
4. Frame: Generally made of metal aluminum, used to fix and protect glass, battery sheets and EVA film.
5. Backsheet: It is composed of two layers of PVF film and one layer of PET film, used to protect the battery cells and EVA film.
